No, not as in comedy - think decorations and gifts. Generally, a standup is a life-size photograph of a celebrity, famous person or character, backed with heavy duty cardboard. An easel is provided so that this large cutout can stand up on its own (hence the term "standup"). They are often called "cardboard cutouts", too, though this does not imply the life size nature of this unique decoration.
