Christmas Decorating Ideas

Time to plan for the Holidays with these great Christmas decorating ideas!

The most fun Christmas decorations are the life size cardboard cutouts of Santa, Rudolph, and, the favorite, Will Ferrell's Elf. These standups are great for advertising, creating a welcoming image at the door of your event, or for a gift. The Santa standup carries an empty list, which you can fill with ads or info, or a welcome message at your party or event. Click to find life size Christmas cutouts.

Set the table and decorate for your event with beautiful Christmas tableware and coordinating accessories. There is a wonderful selection this year. One of our most popular patterns is the Very Merry tableware, featuring a darling snowman on a red plate, complete with snowflakes, scarf, and hat. The accessories with this pattern include a snowman plate, snowflake confetti, hanging swirl snowflake decorations, matching red votive candles complete with snowflakes, invitations, colorful bowls, snowflake tumblers, and more. Planning a wintry event? You will love the blue and white Glitter Snowflakes and winter wonderland theme. Start with the Glitter Snowflake invitations, then order tableware, including plates, napkins, cups, coasters, and table covers. Add cutouts and confetti, either small or jumbo size. There are coordinating stickers, spreaders, and cello bags for favors. Browse all the Winter Wonderland accessories. Drape the 15 foot garland, use the 8.5 inch wonderland snowflake centerpieces, and add the Happy Holidays banner. Top off your room decorations with the Frosted Window Panes and Winter Wonderland scene setters.

Scene setters create an amazing ambiance for your event. Most of these come in 50 x 48 inch rolls. See the Christmas Scene Setters, including the Brick Christmas Room which looks like a red brick wall. The Cozy Christmas Scene features a fireplace, complete with hearth and wreath. Home for the Holidays is a decorated door. See a tree laden with decorations in the 65 inch O Christmas Tree scene. Do not forget 5 foot Santa and His Reindeer Scene Setter!

If you are celebrating holiday cheer with friends who have children, set the adult table with your best china, and include napkins from lovely tableware such as Contemporary Poinsettia, O Tannenbaum, Joyful Gathering, Holiday Tapestry, or Holiday Wishes. Consider a fun pattern for the kids table, such as Santa Ho Ho, North Pole Santa, Very Merry, Folksy Santa, Antlers on Ice, Country Moose or Christmas Tree Party Starters. Use the 9 inch paper plates and napkins for the kids, for easy clean up. The kids will love the holiday fun. Click to find all Christmas decorations.

Fall Decorating Ideas

Time to plan for Thanksgiving! Here are some great fall decorating ideas for November.

First, pick a theme for your autumn table decorations. Beautiful Fall Leaf accessories are available, including a new Fall Check Tableware. Leaves and acorns in delicate autumn tones are arranged in a geometric design. The new harvest theme, Abundance Fall, features a tasteful pattern of pumpkins and a harvest wheat bouquet in a square plate design. The Golden Harvest tableware is an elegant design, with a fruit and flowers pattern that is truly unique. This pattern is graced with lovely chrysanthemums surrounded with fruit-o-plenty. Thanksgiving Elegance features the popular turkey theme. The new Symbols of Autumn tableware brings the autumn themes together with pumpkins front and center, surrounded in a circular design of flowers, leaves, and acorns. All tableware patterns include table covers, dessert plates, dinner plates, beverage napkins, and luncheon napkins. Some patterns also include invitations, cups, and other accessories.

Once you have decided on your theme, consider other table decorations, the table centerpiece, and wall and window decorations. See Autumn Elegance 18 ounce tumblers, in lovely colors of gold, green, and orange, which will compliment any of the fall patterns. Find martini glasses in these same autumn colors. To accentuate your Fall Leaf Theme, add colorful leaf window clings, in packages of 12. These window clings are easy to apply and remove, and create a festive mood. Hang an 8 foot Autumn Leaf garland. If you are going for a modern leaf look and feel, try the Fall Leaves Hanging Swirl Decorations. These come 5 to a package and hang approximately 24 inches long. Or, make a door curtain, of sorts, with the 6 Strings of Leaves. These can also serve as wall decorations. Click to find all Fall Decorations.

If you are planning a Thanksgiving or fall event that requires decorating a large space, consider the new Fall Scene Setters. These two scene setter decorations transform any room or setting into a fall scene in minutes. The Autumn Trees are 33.5 inches by 65 inches. Each is different, designed to tie-in with our Scene Setter Room and Border Rolls. Use double-sided tape or staples to attach to your wall or even layer over our Scene Setter Room Rolls and create your own autumn scene. The Autumn Landscape Room Setter and Picket Fence Room Setter are magnificent. These vinyl rolls are 4 feet by 50 feet in length. Room rolls are for indoor or outdoor use.

The table centerpiece is central to your party planning. A favorite is the 12 inch Honeycomb Turkey centerpiece. Find these in 6 inch, 12 inch, and 15 inches. See the Mini-Leaf centerpiece, standing 8.5 inches tall with fabric leaves. Fall is also an excellent time to use natural materials, such as colorful gourds, Indian corn, and sweet pumpkins to create a lovely centerpiece. These can be placed in a decorative bowl or carefully arranged on a yellow or orange cloth. Be sure to put plastic under the cloth to protect your table. Place a cornucopia, spilling grains or unpopped corn amidst the gourds. Add fall leaves from your yard. A beeswax candle in a ceramic holder can add serenity to the centerpiece.

Baby Shower Ideas

Planning a baby shower? Looking for baby shower ideas that are enjoyable and unique? Planning a shower is fun and easy. Follow these few simple steps, and you will create an event that will be remembered for years to come:

1) Pick a Theme - From Baby Faces, Lullaby Dreams, Modern Mom, Rubber Duck, Noahs Ark, Winnie the Pooh, Flitterbyes, A Baby Quilt, Pitter Patter, to A Star is Born, find a baby shower theme that is perfect for your special event. It will help if you have an idea of what colors you want to use. There are themes that are specific to boys or girls, such as popular Baby Clothes Boy in blue and Baby Clothes Girl in pink.

2) Choose tableware, including plates, cups, table covers, and confetti to coordinate with your theme. Each pattern includes 9 inch dinner, 7 inch dessert plates, your choice of beverage or luncheon napkins, cups, and table cover. Note that some themes have more gifts, gift wrap, accessories, and decorations to choose from. Create a warm and festive environment with a coordinating baby shower centerpiece, mylar balloons, banner, and hanging cutouts supporting your theme. Click to find all baby shower party supplies.

3) Send invitations that coordinate with your theme. See new printable invitations that allow you to create your own personalized invitations. The invitations include instructions and 3 test sheets. These are for use in a laser or inkjet printer. The sheet sizes are 8.5 inch by 5.5 inch. Click to find all baby shower invitations. There are also birth announcements available that match your baby shower tableware.

4) Plan unique baby shower games. A popular game is baby shower bingo. You will find bingo games for Baby Clothes, which is on sale this month, Humphrey's corner, A Star is Born, Modern Mom, and Flitterbyes. Most shower patterns include a handy game book. This makes your planning a snap! The game books include up to 10 fun games, such as Get the Picture, Pass the String, Match-up Baby Names, TV and Movie Kid Names, Complete the Lyrics, The Big No - No, The Memory Game, How Well Do You Know The Mom - to - Be, Toilet Paper Diaper, Baby Faces, and Nursery Rhyme Riddles. These game books are very economical, most costing only $2.30 to $3.00.

5) One great game tip is to create a Baby Shower Diaper Cake. A diaper cake is a beautiful, yet practical gift made of diapers shaped like a tiered cake, then adorned with baby bottles, blankets, rattles, rubber duckie, hooded towels, baby toys, and more. These cakes can be made in different sizes, usually ranging from one layer to large four or five tiers. Best of all, they include everything a new baby needs. That's what makes a diaper cake the ultimate baby gift. Make the cake to coordinate with your theme, such as Sesame Street, Noahs Ark, Rubber Duck, or Baby Clothes. Create a game with the diaper cake, having all the guests guess in 1 minute how many items are on the cake - including the diapers! The guest who comes the closest wins a prize. The diaper cake also makes a super centerpiece. Click to learn how to make a baby shower diaper cake. Buy pre-made diaper cakes at danasgiftbasketexpress.com.

Let's start with a few planning tips:

1) Choose a party theme. We have a wonderful selection of party themes to choose from. Some popular theme ideas include Luau Parties, Fiesta, Birthday, Western, Over the hill, Baby Shower, Anniversary, and 50´s Party. Enjoy browsing the site to pick the perfect theme for your party.

2) Choose tableware for your theme. Tableware may give you a ´theme within a theme´. For example, Luau Tableware includes Tiki Island, Hibiscus, Flamingo, Aloha, Cocktail, and Tropical Sun.

3) Plan table decorations to coordinate with your theme. Plan for the table covers, table centerpieces, and coordinating confetti you need for your event. There are new 8.5 to 10 inch cascading table centerpieces that are the perfect size to decorate tables.

4) Choose hanging decorations, such as dangling cutouts, party streamers, hanging centerpieces, and balloons. Balloons are very popular! Plan to try our great balloon bouquets, available for most party themes. We have added a wonderful selection of balloons in our Party Decorations section.

5) Plan to add a piñata for a fun game or decoration! We carry over 100 piñatas, and these coordinate with all our themes. We carry piñata busters and piñata fillers. It is a good idea to use a pull string piñata for little children. With the pull string, the kids simply pull the 12-20 strings on the bottom, until the right string is pulled. Then, the bottom drops out. Older children enjoy the traditional piñatas, requiring the bat and blindfold.

6) If you really want your party to be a hit, add a life size stand up! These popular cardboard cutouts make great decorations, conversation pieces, and gifts. We carry Star Wars, Sports Figures, Lord of the Rings, Elvis for 50´s parties, Palm Trees, Marilyn Monroe, Patriotic Stand Ups, and many more.

7) Plan to include party favors. See our huge selection of party favors in Party Decorations. These make fun games, gifts, and the kids love them. Note that most theme parties include coordinating favors and games.
